The fiber optic transceiver bidi 100G QSFP28 80km is a solution that challenges the physical limits in 100G networks. It combines “ultra long distance (80km)” with “single fiber bidirectional (BiDi)”. It adopts 4x LAN-WDM technology, with 8 channels transmitted in one optical fiber. Side A and Side B must be used in pairs, and SOA (semiconductor optical amplifier) must be integrated at the receiving end to compensate for the huge losses caused by the 80 kilometer link. FEC must be enabled, the price is extremely high, and it is a customized product.
