If your core switch is 400G (using 400G FR4 modules), you can directly connect it to four access switches with 100GBASE CWDM4 modules through a one 1 to 4 breakout cable, and it is the only choice in a 400G hybrid networking environment. Because the distance of 100G DR1 is too short and 100G LR1 is too expensive.Some company may call it QSFP 100G FR4 as well.
