The 25G SFP28 DWDM 15km 50Ghz optical module complies with the ITU-T G.694.1 standard, and it uses a cooled EML laser to ensure wavelength stability. Compared to 100Ghz, 50Ghz 25G DWDM transceiver supports 96 channels within the same C-band, doubling the density. Meanswhile, on the same fiber, the total transmission capacity is twice that of a 100GHz system, it requires higher precision wavelength multiplexer and lasers with better wavelength stability, resulting in higher system costs. It is a “capacity friendly” solution that can directly increase the capacity by adding more wavelength channels without increasing the optical fiber quantity.
