The 400G OSFP112 LR4 is a high-performance optical module that utilizes the latest 112G SerDes technology. It is fundamentally different from early 400G modules such as QSFP-DD LR8 based on 8-channel 50G. The OSFP module housing comes with heat sinks, which can easily handle the 7W-9W power consumption required for 10km transmission. It is suitable for high-density switch environments and supports future 800G and 1.6T. Its electrical characteristics are more suitable for processing ultra-high speed signals of 112G and above.
