SFP-1.25G-BIDI-3km SM SFP module is a very practical gigabit single fiber bidirectional (BiDi) short-range SFP fiber optic transceiver. In the optical communication industry, “BIDI” stands for Bidirectional.

A regular dual fiber module requires two optical fibers (one transmitter and one receiver), while a BIDI module utilizes WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) technology to fuse two different wavelengths into the same optical fiber, achieving simultaneous transmission and reception on one fiber. This 1G single mode SFP module is specifically designed for short distance, high-density urban edge or park networks within 3 km.
