SFP-1.25G-CWDM-XX-80KM is a commonly used gigabit long distance CWDM optical transceiver, which adopts SFP packaging, LC duplex interface, supports 1.25Gbps rate, and is mainly used in gigabit Ethernet. The “XX” in the model represents the wavelength (such as 47=1470nm), and it is necessary to ensure that SFP LC module with the same wavelength are used at both ends of the link during use. Due to the use of PIN receivers in the 80km module, its sensitivity is lower than that of APD.

Before deployment, it is recommended to calculate the optical power budget based on the total attenuation of the actual fiber link (fiber length x attenuation coefficient+connector loss+redundancy) to ensure that the actual received optical power is within the receiving range of the module. In addition, all CWDM optical transceivers comply with MSA standards and are theoretically compatible with mainstream brand switches. When purchasing, please clarify your device model with the supplier and confirm whether “compatibility coding” is required.
