This QSFP28 MSA and SFF-8636 standard 100Gbase PSM4 transceiver is an optical module developed for special needs, supporting 10 km transmission on 8-core single-mode fiber (OS2). If you have a 100G switch,and need to connect 4 25G switches/servers distributed in different locations (up to 10km away). It is necessary to use it to achieve long-distance QSFP28 to 4x SFP28 splitting (Breakout).
