QSFP DD-400G-LR4 transceiver is currently the most mainstream and mature 10km solution for 400G metropolitan area network and data center interconnection. It marks the evolution of 400G technology from “multi-channel parallel (LR8)” to the more efficient era of “single 100G (LR4)”. The 400G LR4 only has 4 lasers, significantly improving the reliability of the module (MTBF). The power consumption is usually between 7W-9W, so the switch port temperature is lower, which is beneficial for the overall stability of the system
