25G SFP28 DWDM optics module is a dense wavelength division multiplexing “color light module” designed for core transmission scenarios where fiber resources are extremely scarce and require a large number of channel convergence. It physically follows the SFP28 package, and the biggest difference from CWDM modules is the use of SFP28 DWDM optical spacing is only 0.8nm (100GHz), which can provide more than 40 available channels in the C-band, several times that of CWDM (6-18 waves). Therefore, it is mainly used in scenarios such as operator backbone networks, metropolitan area network cores, and large-scale data center interconnection.

By using DWDM technology, the signals of dozens of base stations can be multiplexed into one optical fiber, significantly alleviating the shortage of optical fiber resources in the metropolitan area;
  • Metropolitan Area Wavelength Division Backbone Network: In the metropolitan area network’s aggregation and core layers, DWDM is utilized to construct ultra-large capacity transmission channels;
  • Data Center Interconnection (DCI): Connecting two data centers within a distance of 10 kilometers, providing an interconnection solution with extremely high bandwidth and saving optical fibers;
  • OTN Transport Network: Compliant with CPRI/eCPRI standards, it can seamlessly connect to carrier-grade transport network equipment.
