Inline Attenuator

Inline attenuator is a type of optical attenuation device that is directly connected in series in a fiber optic link. It looks similar to a standard fiber patch cord and has connectors at both ends, used to permanently introduce precise power attenuation in the fiber optic transmission path. Online attenuators achieve power reduction through the attenuation mechanism inside optical fibers and are an irreplaceable optical power management tool in long-distance transmission systems and laboratory environments.
